Marie Bodenez is a contemporary artist, born in 1984, originally from Finistère and based in Loiret (France).
"As an artistic personality, I have always been attracted to this medium (drawing, painting, singing, photography, piano...) and I certainly flourish in it. Drawing has always accompanied me. Self-taught, I I picked up my brushes again in 2018".
His works are slowly beginning to be collected in Europe.
His work mainly depicts animals living in their environments, drawing inspiration from photos, archive paintings and observations made over time.
"I work from photos taken, provided by clients or free of rights. Those that tell a story are the best."
Topics are conceptualized through pencil exploration and a dash of digital revision. The final compositions are achieved by building layers of full-bodied acrylic or watercolor mediums arranged intuitively while striving for coherence.
His works are intended to be observed both from a distance and read up close to understand their construction and nuances.
